In April 2026, the TE_REG consortium met in Podgorica for an intensive working meeting hosted by the University of Montenegro. A central part of the programme was the exchange with local teacher educators, students and representatives of the Montenegrin education system.

The discussions with the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and the Bureau for Educational Services offered valuable insights into current developments in digital transformation and teacher education standards in Montenegro. They also opened a productive dialogue on how teacher education can respond to GenAI, changing professional roles and future curriculum challenges.

A hands-on try-out of the TE_REG tool with local participants generated important feedback. The tool was seen as reflective, inspiring and promising for curriculum development. At the same time, participants recommended clearer guidance, simpler language, reduced complexity and strong facilitation. These insights will directly inform the next refinement of the toolkit.
